2025 was a great year! Thank you for your participation and support!
September’s Intentional Act of Kindness:
Be generous while tipping!
If you’re in a position to tip a little extra this month, be sure to show some appreciation and affirmation to those who provide services. Hair dressers, wait staff, massage therapists, home repair workers, etc. Whoever you feel called to tip generously - in whatever way works for you!
intentional acts of kindness
come and get them
In 2025 we will highlight Intentional Acts of Kindness!! Watch each month for some fresh ideas about how to 🩷 your neighbor!
Past IAKs…
August: Be kind to call center workers.
July: Show kindness to those traveling!
June: Bring back the peace sign!
May: Kindness Bingo! Download a clean bingo card to play along!
April: Volunteer! There are so many wonderful community organizations that could use some help! Just one hour can make a huge difference! What sparks your imagination? What might you accomplish?
March: Thank a cashier or clerk! We all know how much a simple sign of gratitude can brighten someone's day.
February: send a Valentine to prisoners, shut ins, nursing home residents or people who could use some cheer. We will be distributing our heart stickers to all 19 branches of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library! Share them with someone who needs encouragement or who is doing something kind.
One of our community partners, Chuck Stocking, recently had a N2N Ice Cream Social for the people on his block, in a neighborhood near Perrysburg. He said he didn't know most of them and was inspired to do something to make connections.
Over 40 people of all ages and family groupings came. Only one family didn't, because they were on vacation. People stayed for two hours and enjoyed conversation together. He had nametags with ice breaker questions but people didn't need them. Sounds like a perfect afternoon to us!

Our Neighbor to Neighbor Kick Off Event was a great success. The weather was HOT but close to 500 people attended throughout the afternoon and evening. The music from 56 Daze was great! Amazing Athletes and the Toledo Museum of Art provided fun activities for the younger crowd. The Food Trucks provided delicious food. We handed out lots of HEART YOUR NEIGHBOR yard signs and most importantly lots of NEIGHBORS celebrated being NEIGHBORS! LOVE!
